Pictures While Grandparents in Town

Family pictures while grandparents in town sounds fun, but it can be difficult trying to coordinate everything long-distance. Bonnie contacted me from Denver, CO (where we were headed soon for our spring break ski trip). They were coming to visit and wanted pictures of the family together- a total of 7 children and 5 adults. The sisters and family had not seen each other in 3 years. Unfortunately, the one sister was not able to make it, but we went ahead with the session. We contemplated their backyard but weren’t sure about the quality of the lighting at the time of day we had to schedule the session. We ended up going with Lake Park. It was still pretty bright there, but we were able to find some pockets of shade. Bonnie was worried that everything wasn’t coming together quite as planned, but I reassured her that it was not a big deal- to go with the flow and just enjoy the time together, and that they did.
