Your Questions… Answered! | Tampa Photographer

In an effort to connect with my readers, I wanted to start a new feature: answering your questions… about me, about Kristine Freed Photography, about what I do, about what I offer, about photography/taking pictures in general… whatever questions you want answered!

I posted a question on my blog yesterday: What is the most frustrating thing about your camera/taking pictures for you?
Michelle answered: When I have a great shot and the picture I take comes out blurry!

THANK YOU Michelle for answering! I know many people have the same problem!
Here are some things I hope will help!

*LIGHT– Make sure you are in good light! Great lighting helps make a great photo!
*STEADY– Make sure you steady yourself. You can hold your elbow tight against your body and/or use a wall, table, the floor, etc to help out. Be sure to be gentle when pressing the shutter. Pressing too hard can move the camera the slightest bit!
*FOCUS– Make sure you are placing your focus point over what you want most in focus. If your camera locks focus with a half-press of the shutter button, try it out! Place the focus point where you want focus, press shutter half way to lock focus, then fully press when ready to capture the image!
*SHUTTER– a fast shutter speed is a must when taking pics of kids. Try out the Child or Sports Mode on your camera, or if you want to be more daring, try out Shutter Priority. Stay at or above 1/125 for kids.

Try these helpful hints out and let me know how they work! I hope you are on your way to non-blurry photos! 😉
